About This Vending Option

One of the most anticipated highlights of the festival, the Cook Off showcases home cooks and professional chefs competing with creative dishes that reimagine collard greens in bold and innovative ways. From traditional Southern recipes to global fusion creations, this experience celebrates culture through food while highlighting local talent and culinary entrepreneurship.

What You’ll Need

1. Must have dish entree in a small crock pot to be put in and kept warm.
   1. Crock pot example
   2. Note: Crock pots can also be bought 2nd hand in a store like Value Village or Goodwill's.
2. The crock pots should have your first and last name tagged.

4. Hillside International Truth Center at 2450 Cascade Rd, Atlanta, GA 30311
5. No pork or beef.
6. Contestant dishes must be dropped off at 1PM.
7. Join the cook off for only $35 to showcase your greens. 
8. Registration fees must be paid by September 25, 2026.
9. Judging will take place between 2:30 PM and 3:30PM.
10. Cook-Off Winner Announcement at 4PM.
11. Please return to pick up your crock pot container no later than 5PM.
12. The Collard Green winner will receive a $500 life-size check prize, certificate, sash, crown, and a Collard Greens T-Shirt.
